Detroit just seems to have it in for the Seattle Seahawks.

In a hostile atmosphere at Ford Field, Seattle produced a second-half rally to take a 10-point lead thanks to a failed fourth-down convert in Detroit’s own territory and a Jared Goff pick-six midway through the fourth quarter.

With three minutes and eight seconds remaining and a Riley Patterson field goal from 38 yards out leveling the score and forcing overtime, Detroit overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Seattle won the coin toss in overtime and received the ball first. Geno Smith’s 5-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tyler Lockett gave them a 75-yard drive in nine plays and a 37-31 victory. In overtime, Detroit’s offense was never given a chance to touch the ball. The Lions’ record now stands at 1-1 after the defeat.

For the Lions, wide receiver Kalif Raymond made a 36-yard touchdown catch on a flea flicker, running back David Montgomery had a 4-yard touchdown run, and tight end Jordan Reynolds had two touchdown catches.

James Houston, a Lions edge rusher, departed the game due to an ankle injury and did not come back.

Additionally, Montgomery left the game late in the third quarter after hurting his thigh while attempting to shake off an ankle tackle. He never came back. Halapoulivaati Vaitai, a right guard who suffered a left leg injury early in the fourth quarter, did not either.

Because he is in the concussion protocol, Lions wide receiver Antoine Green also left the game and did not come back.
