Tobi Amusan of Nigeria is back on a winning streak after failing to successfully defend her world championship after placing sixth in the World Athletics Championship final in Budapest.

The Nigerian sprinter captured her third straight Diamond League gold in the women’s 100-meter hurdle with a record time of 12:33 seconds.
Jasmine Camacho-Quin of Puerto Rico finished second in 12.38 seconds, and US athlete Kendra Harrison took third.

The tournament in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she won the world title the previous year, is where she established the record.

Amusan earned her first Diamond League trophy in 12.42 seconds in 2021 and successfully defended it the following year.

She joins Dawn Nelson-Harper as the only other women in Diamond League history to have won a hat-trick of 100m hurdles medals.
