However, these new models will be missing a major feature that Apple has been heavily promoting: Apple Intelligence. Instead, users will have to wait for the software update to experience the full potential of Apple Intelligence. This new technology promises a range of features, including smarter notification prioritization, summaries of web pages and voice notes, improved writing tools, a reimagined Siri, and integration with OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gurman, who has tested some of these features on the iOS 18.1 beta, noted that while promising, they still need refinement. For example, the Messages app will offer suggested replies, which are slightly more advanced than previous iterations. This feature works similarly to Do Not Disturb but is more intelligent, allowing only important notifications, such as urgent messages and emails, to pass through. Additionally, when Reader Mode is activated in the Safari browser, it provides concise summaries of web pages and articles, condensing them into a single paragraph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple Intelligence will also include new Writing Tools designed to enhance the tone of your text, making it more professional or friendly, and providing assistance with proofreading. He believes that while they are impressive, they may not be compelling enough to persuade someone to upgrade from an iPhone 14 Pro to an iPhone 16. However, he acknowledges that the excitement generated by Apple&#8217;s marketing campaigns is likely to drive significant interest in the new model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple\u2019s foray into AI with these new features is clearly aimed at competing with similar offerings from Google Gemini, OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, and Microsoft\u2019s Copilot. However, for Apple to establish itself as a leader in the AI space, it will need to continue pushing the envelope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s expected that all iPhone 16 models, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, will eventually receive Apple Intelligence through a software update.
