The first online institution in Nigeria, Miva institution, has announced that it is now taking applications for degree programs. It was announced that JAMB not required to gain admission for degree programs. In order to be admitted, prospective students are not required to take the UTME, which is administered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), according to the university’s Chancellor, Sim Shagaya.
Shagaya has also mentioned that students at MIVA University can complete a degree program in 2.5 years because of the university’s trimester system. On Wednesday, September 20, he shared this information via his X handle (previously known as Twitter) @SimShagaya.
He further underlined that the university is not subject to labor strikes or other industrial/union activities, guaranteeing that the commencement date would not affect the graduation date.
