  • Using the phone number that you used for the jamb registration, send the word “UTMERESULT” or “RESULT” as a text message to 55019 (the jamb number).
  • Be sure to use capital or uppercase letters for the RESULT.
  • Your SIM card will be charged 50 naira.
  • You will soon receive a response with your jamb results score along with your scores for each subject you took the exam for.
  • Congratulations! You were able to simply check your jamb results through message or SMS.

You can expect to see responses as follows:

  • If a candidate enters a phone number that is not registered, they will see a notification that reads, “This phone number was not used for registration.”
  • Messages like “Dear Mr./Miss X, your result is as fol-lows… (followed by the details)” will be sent to candidates who have results.
  • The applicant will get a “Result Withheld” notification if a result is withheld.
  • Candidates who are awarded a second chance will receive the following message: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
  • A “CANDIDATE ABSENT” notification will be displayed for absent candidates.
  • The candidate will be informed if their registration number was cancelled because they were not present.

Steps to Check JAMB Result Online

All candidates who took part in the UTME in 2023 and earlier can now print their original results slip with their passport photo attached. Access to your JAMB result slip requires a N1,500 payment.
